Batch Relink

Overview

When project files move or directories are restructured, links break. LinkFlow provides batch relink, refresh, open, and diagnostics operations to get your project back on track quickly.

Batch Relink

Fix many broken links at once by searching for old paths and replacing them with new ones:

  1. Open the LinkFlow panel and navigate to the Libraries section.
  2. Use the Batch Relink option to specify find and replace path strings.
  3. Preview matches before committing — see old and new paths side by side.
  4. Apply to all matching links or select individual ones.

Batch Refresh

The Refresh operation reloads all linked libraries to pick up the latest changes from disk. This is useful after:

  • Source files have been re-saved externally
  • After batch relinking to verify the new paths resolve correctly
  • When switching between project branches or versions

Open & Diagnostics

LinkFlow provides convenience operations for managing libraries:

  • Open — Open any linked file directly in Blender from the Libraries section.
  • Diagnostics — Run health checks on individual libraries or the entire project.
  • Path Conversion — Convert between relative and absolute paths for all libraries at once.
  • Locate Missing — Automatically scan directories to find relocated files.

Path Conversion

Switch between relative and absolute paths across all linked libraries:

  • Relative paths — Survive directory moves as long as the relative structure is preserved. Recommended for team projects.
  • Absolute paths — Fixed file locations. Useful for single-user workstations with stable paths.

Convert all libraries at once using the Path Conversion option in the Libraries section.

Library Groups

Organize your libraries into groups for better management:

  • Create custom groups to categorize libraries by department, asset type, or project phase.
  • Filter the Libraries section by group to focus on relevant subsets.
  • Apply batch operations (relink, refresh) to entire groups at once.
