Batch Processing

Overview

Texture Pipeline Studio automates PBR texture assignment for entire materials at once. Rather than manually connecting each map, select a texture library and let the add-on handle the rest.

Texture Library Structure

Textures should be organized by resolution in a root folder. Each resolution subfolder contains material subfolders with the individual map files:

Textures/
├── 16K/
├── 8K/
│   └── Wood/
│       ├── Wood_BaseColor.png
│       ├── Wood_Normal.png
│       ├── Wood_Roughness.png
│       ├── Wood_Metallic.png
│       ├── Wood_Height.png
│       └── Wood_Opacity.png
├── 4K/
├── 2K/
└── 1K/

Assigning Textures

  1. Select the target material in the Shader Editor or Properties panel.
  2. Set the Texture Library root path in the Scene Properties panel.
  3. Click Assign Textures — the add-on detects all supported maps and connects them to the Principled BSDF.

Only supported map types are connected. Unrecognized files are skipped.

Switching Resolutions

Once textures are assigned, use the Resolution dropdown to switch between LODs. The add-on updates all image node references to point to the corresponding resolution folder — no shader rebuilding needed.

Tips

  • Keep identical filenames across all resolution folders for seamless switching.
  • Use Refresh to reload the library after adding new textures or reorganizing folders.
  • Store libraries on SSDs for faster resolution switching.
